First belly shot!

So, everyone has been wanting a belly picture of Kat and here it is! It is kind of fun to have a wife with a beer belly for once! Pretty soon she will have even my belly beat. I am looking forward to coming home from my next patrol and seeing it super sized! Hope everyone is well. -Proud Dad to be

First Appointment ~ June 9th

My first official appointment was Wednesday ~ took an hour and was nothing but ToNs of paperwork and blood work. If you know me at all, you know I don't do needles, but I'm learning to get over this, because I know this is just the beginning. Seven vials later and the guy telling me twelve thousand times that I was doing good; we (haha, we- me and the baby?!) left and the guy taking my blood said, "Look, mom is already making sacrifices for baby!" Couldn't help but laugh- he could obviously tell how terrified I was. We (hehe) go back in on the 28th for the first ultrasound!! AND Casey is asking everyone and doing that he needs to be to be able to go to this appointment, which would be absolutely AMAZING- he'll be deploying within the week- so that would just be absolutely perfect before he has to leave for 3 months and misses so many other baby related appointments and such.
I just have to brag on Casey for a minute~ he has always been the best husband in the world, but WOW- he is just going above and beyond... he's just the sweetest thing in the world!! He completely washed and detailed my car last weekend, saying, "My baby's momma needs a nice ride!" hahahaha! He has been doing all of the cleaning, vacuuming, cooking, dishes, everything... he just absolutely rocks.
We couldn't be more excited for this sweet baby- and the thoughtful gifts and cards we have been receiving this past week just blow us away- we knew we were loved, but DaNg; this baby is so loved already ~ he/she doesn't even know just how blessed they are, yet! We love you all!!!!

We're pregnant!!!

We were getting very suspicious that something was up (being two months late, pants getting tight that have fit me since I was 14, my face breaking out like it never has before and all) so I took a pregnancy test on Monday, Memorial Day, and within ten seconds- Boom- Pregnant! I thought it must be wrong, so I took another one and- BOOM- Pregnant within seconds, again!! I thought we must have bought a bad batch, so Casey took and third one and what do you know, it didn't come back positive... hmmm... interesting, don't you think?? I began to have a slight anxiety attack; Casey of course was calm, cool and collected, and our lives have been forever changed.
The following day I went to the clinic on base and they confirmed our findings- Yep, preggers for sure ~ In fact I was EIGHT weeks along and looks like begining of January for a due date. Did I mention I was all alone- Case was at work, so my poor baby sister got a sobbing call from me- I was beyond excited and terrified all at the same time. (Amanda was the ONLY one to know at this time! Hardest secret she's ever had to keep, she says.) I go in Wednesday (June, 9th) for my first official OB-GYN appointment and will update this blog after I get home from work that day.
As I'm sure you all know- Casey is deploying, again, sooooon ~ So I will be here alone with my tubby preggers self- so this blog will be a great form of entertainment for me. I will update and add pictures as often as I can.
