It's a............... GIRL!!!!!!!
These are a few of the pictures I'm sending Casey in the next mail drop to let him know we're having a sweet little girl!!
According to the radiologist everything looks great with the baby, but the doctor will review this with us at the September 7th appointment. The only concern she saw was my short cervix, which we already knew, and she said they'll probably just monitor me really close (which we also already knew) and send me back down to radiation for my testing and measurements. We'll see. As long as the baby was as great and as healthy as she thought, I'm beyond happy!! She said the baby's measurements are right on with my due date, too! :) So 21 weeks down... not that I'm counting or anything.

20 Weeks -- Half Way There
We are officially half way there! As of this week my belly moves when the baby kicks, you can see little body parts sticking out. Crazy! It's alive!! Really wish Casey could be here for this, he'd love it. Thursday is the anatomy scan-- so hopefully my next post will be the sex of our baby. (Maybe. I'm still trying to figure out how to surprise Casey... I really want to wait until he gets home, but I know I can't wait that long to tell him, and I know he'll want to know asap, too... but I don't want to just e-mail him saying, "We're having a girl/boy!" Boring! Wish I could see his face and reaction.)
We officially have the crib, mattress, mattress pad cover, changing table, bins for the changing table, a tummy time mat (coolest thing ever- from Ikea), two huge bags of amazing essentials and goodies from America Haws, along with other misc. items I'm forgetting. The baby's room is all cleaned out and organized (it used to be our guest room/storage).
Love you all! XoXo

Just a funny little story....
At my apt yesterday, for the miserable four day migraine I was having, I got to listen to the baby's heat beat on the Doppler.... The nurse kept it there for a good minute and the baby did not like it one bit! I was getting kicked over and over again until she took it off!! hehehe! The midwife laughed and said, "They can be very picky, huh?!" The baby did not like to be poked and prodded- but can you blame it (him... her...).
The heart beat was in the 140's yesterday... it's usually there or in the 150's.... and if you believe the old wise tells they tell you girls are in the 160's and boys are lower.... We'll see! Can't wait to find out!!

18 Week & Counting...
Sorry for the delay in updating ~ I have developed a pregnancy symptom I am not a fan of... Headaches/migraines! Yuck!! I've never really had an issue with headaches and migraines in the past, besides the random headache from needing water and/or food... man, not fun!
Anyway, the appointment on Thursday went as well as it could have! My colpo showed a few minor areas, but the doctor said he wouldn't even biopsy them if I wasn't pregnant! Praise God!!!! They are just going to monitor it and deal with it after the baby is born, if necessary. (He thinks because my immune system is down right now, that it will clear up after the baby is born.) We'll see!! :) Also, he measured my cervix, which is still short, but not in the immediate danger zone. He gave me muscle relaxers to help with the spasms and told me to do whatever makes me comfortable. Our bodies are so amazing... my body always lets me know when I've over done something and need to rest. So I'm just resting as much as possible when needed, and taking it one day at a time.
Casey e-mails as often as he can ~ always telling me to kiss my belly for him (yeah, right!!) and to tell the baby he loves him very, very much... Yes, him! He is sooo convinced we are having a boy. We will see August 26th if he is right or not.....

17 Weeks Down!
Well I am officially on disability from work, so I will have plenty of time to update our blog. Ha. It's only day one and I'm making list of things I need to get done, but dividing it up by days so I can still rest and keep this baby where it belongs- not being born just yet!
Well, at our apt (on July 29th) they listened to the baby's heart beat (which is a strong 160-162, right where it should be!) and talked about my next apt-on Thursday (August 5th) when I go in for my colpo (from having an abnormal pap) and what all will need to be taken care of during that apt. Then I told her how the mail drop was due that day and that it would be really awesome if we could get some pictures to send Case... so she very quietly snuck off and got an ultrasound machine. The baby wasn't moving much (probably sleeping), and legs were together and bent, so we couldn't see the sex, but in the middle of it all the baby completely stretched out, then curled up again. Long baby!
