THREE? How can it be? Months that is...

Casey stealing one last Izzy kiss before he had to leave us for a tin-can full of stinky men - AKA- the USS Alabama.

LoVe this picture of my two loves.

HAHA- I can tell this picture is old, because there is actually sunshine! Izzy loves laying in the sun, and we both miss it terribly! Oh mister sun, sun, mister golden sun, won't you shine down on me?! No? Boo!

This picture just plain cracks me up every time I see it-- Izzy's hair is out of control- no matter what I try!! Casey loves it, so I've stopped fighting it; but hopefully it won't be this way forever!

Sweet daddy's girl.

Izzy just loves her new Easter toy from Grammy & Granddad!

Ohhh the many faces of Isabella Jo...

Mom & Amanda BOTH said she actually looks like me in this picture!! The first and only time I've heard this- worth celebrating!!

Loving on her elephant from Nana & Pop-pop!

Sleeping exactly like her daddy ~ mouth wide open.

Izzy counting the reasons why the Alabama needs to send her daddy back home...

This is what I got to wake up to this morning... Can you tell how proud she was for getting out of her swaddle?! She's getting so strong.

Speaking of being so strong... Here is Izzy rolling over! I FINALLY got it on video! EVERY time she does it we go get the camera- when we push play she usually looks at us like we are a bunch of crazies and cries! This video (along with 12 others) is being sent to Casey in a mail drop. :)

I just can't believe our sweet daughter is three months old. I was hoping to get her three month pictures today, but that just wasn't in the cards. Maybe tomorrow? Or when Grammy comes?! We will see....
Love to all! XoXo

Update: This IS a laughing matter!!!!

A couple nights ago I was ready to give Izzy a bath, but Casey said he wouldn't hand her over until she laughed. I was worried we were in for a long night, but she worked with us and it was grand!! :) Casey finally got to hear Izzy laugh!!! Thanks for working with me, Iz!

Isabella lovesss the sunshine ~ we are so ready for summer!!

I realized today that I haven't posted any pics of Izzy in her seat! She did not like it at first, but likes it more and more everyday! :) Her swing and bouncer are still her favs (other than being held, of course).

Growing Izzy ~ Week 10

What a week it has been!! A very busy one, at that- just the way we like it! :) Since my post are mostly pictures now, let's get started........

Izzy loves praying, already. ;) I love her sweet hands.

Iz was having a fussy day (which are few and far between, thankfully!!) and the only thing that made her happy was to be naked, wearing her OU hat, watching her mobile. So- that's what we did. :) Made her daddy proud.

I've been meaning to post this for a while now- mom (Grammy) brought this when she met Izzy (when she was two days old)... I just love it!

Yeah- the weather doesn't really vary here. Wow. Exciting. NOT! I NEED some sunshine! Stat!!!!
Sweetest little girl is all ready for church.

Auntie Mel and Uncle Devin got these for Iz!!!! If you know me at all you know I'm obsessed with 'The Wizard of Oz' (heck, I walked down the isle to 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' at our wedding)... Soooo excited that Izzy has a pair of ruby red slippers just like mommy and Mel! :)

AND a bow to match!! Gotta have accessories, of course!

Auntie Mel and Izzy cuddled up by the fire. So sweet.

Our very sweet and talented Ombudsman made this for Isabella! I just love it- I'm hoping it will be Izzy's favorite, too! ;)

Izzy and Jason fell asleep while learning about budgeting at group. So sweet!

Jason had to run an errand, so I got Izzy back... she was NOT going to listen to this adult nonsense.

No one understand the Navy life better than a fellow Navy wife. Don't know what I'd do without these girls!! Celebrating St. Patty's day with a green beer and delicious food... all while venting about our husbands insane hours. Ugh. All three guys were on duty- of course.

I get to wake up to this sweet face every morning. It's the best. I'm the luckiest momma ever!

Casey came home from duty EXHAUSTED! He grabbed Izzy and they passed out together. I just love them both so much! LOVE our little family.

And last but not least....... Jamie got Izzy laughing!!! We were out shopping- we had all been holding her and passing her around- I took her to put her in her car seat so we could leave and I said, "Aw man, she is going to cry- I don't know why she always gets upset to get in her car seat then ends up loving it." I was pulling the straps over her shoulders and she just started laughing and laughing.. and laughing. We mentioned recording it, but I said, "Nah, the minute we pull out the phone she will stop." Well, since she wasn't stopping Jamie pulled out her phone and recorded it!!! YAY!! Officially have Iz laughing! I was going to make a video of it and send it off with Casey to watch as a surprise after he left for sea- but I just couldn't wait! The minute he walked in the door last night I showed him! He LOVED it-- but was SO bummed he missed it and hasn't heard her laugh yet. :( My goal is for him to hear her laughing before he leaves and time is running out... work with me here Isabella!!!

8 & 9 weeks with our sweet girl.....

Little Miss loves her walks- sooo relaxing!

Ok- see the van?? The guy was 'walking' his dog by holding his leash out the window and driving....

Yep... Too funny!

See Izzy's new bling-bling????? She got her ears pierced!!

Izzy glaring at the lady as she was preparing the piercing guns. She was such a champ!! She hardly even cried-- the 2 month shots were much more horrific!

This is off the path where we walk... it's a random giraffe and hippo off in the field. Strange.

Our gorgeous girl is getting so big!!!

Daddy got to walk with us!!

My amazing family out for a walk.

Precious sleepy girl.

If this smile doesn't melt your heart I don't know what will!

Makes my days worth living!!
Izzy's 2 month apt was Friday (March 4th). Other than the shots, the apt went great and the doctor was impressed with her strength and head control! :) She weighs exactly 9 lbs (24th percentile), is 23 inches long (90th percentile!! WHOA!) and her sweet little head is in the 53rd percentile! She's pretty dang perfect, huh?!
Casey leaves soon and has been working INSANE hrs-he didn't get home until 11:30 last night and 9:30 tonight.... He's such an amazing husband and daddy, even through his long hours he makes time to love on Izzy and make me feel special!! We love him so much!!

2 month pictures

I know these are two days early, but this week is about to get {crazy} busy and I wanted to make sure they got done and posted. Little Miss wasn't too happy about being my model today, and I took about 100 pictures (no exaggeration)... Here are some of my favorites. Still can't believe our baby is 2 months old! Time needs to slow down, please!!

February 27th.... 2008-2011

Today is our third wedding anniversary. If you would have told us that on our third wedding anniversary we'd have a sweet little girl who would be 8 weeks old (on that very day) we would have laughed...... and here we are... Laughing!! We wouldn't change a thing, though. :) Don't you just love how God laughs at the plans we try to make?! ;)
Today is the perfect day to look back on this day three years ago... I was teaching, Casey was visiting me on leave (working with a recruiter a mile away from my school)... we were engaged; had a venue and other assorted things rolling for our wedding in August. We joked about going to the court-house in the mean time, but both thought it was just a joke... then the numbers ($$) started getting rolled around. Done. We knew this was the real deal- why not start making a little extra money now and start saving?! New front load washer and drier here we come! How exciting is that? Doesn't get more exciting for us!! The next thing I know I'm calling in and we were trying to line up witnesses. My sister, Amanda, my dear, amazing friend, Kirstie, and Casey's best friend Scotty... well, Scotty couldn't (he has a big boy job and couldn't just take off)... so Kirstie had to clean a house (what she was doing for money at the time) and then we were on our way to Norman to pick up Amanda and head to the court-house. I should state here that Amanda says she didn't really know that we were doing; she thought this was just preliminary paperwork for our wedding in August. OoOoPs. She was not happy about doing this- after all, NO ONE knew; except the five of us. Yep, that's correct- our poor parents somehow were left out of the loop. Yeah, not cool. I know, I know. We were silly, crazy in love, couldn't wait to be married, and most of all- wanted a new front load washer and drier! HAHA! No, but seriously... ;) So we said our 'I do's'.. didn't even have rings to exchange. (We honestly didn't think about this part and were quite embarrassed. We went RIGHT to the mall after the ceremony and bought bands.) We left the court house and my mom just happened to call.... I 'joked' about just leaving the court house, and she could tell there was a little seriousness to my voice. What can I say- I've never been able to lie to my mom!! Needless to say, neither she nor my dad spoke to us for two days. Two days later we all (both sets of parents, Amanda, and us) had dinner together and everyone was happy and understood why we did what we did, but we hurt they weren't there. We felt so ridiculous for not thinking of that- we honestly didn't think it was that big of a deal, but in all actuality it was a huge deal and having our parents there would have been great. Man. But Amanda and Kirstie are the ones on our marriage license as our witnesses and it is what it is. Now if Isabella EVER even THINKS about doing this she will be locked in her room for.... forever!!!!! Six months later we were married in front of all of our A*MAZING friends and family. It was seriously the most amazing and fun night... we look back and talk about our (second) wedding often. Such an amazing day.... so much love. If this is the first time you are finding out about this I hope you can join us in our laughter this year- too!! ;)

As I mentioned above, Isabella is EIGHT weeks old today!! Her two month apt is Friday (March 4th), which means shots. I'm terrified. I'll probably be crying more than she is... no, I know I will be. She's such a tough girl!
This is a 0-3 month onsie. She is 2 months old and it's still huge on her!! It wont fit her till May when it's (hopefully) hot outside and people will give me all kinds of looks for dressing my kid in polar-fleece during the summer. Who would have ever thought she'd be so little?! She's getting so long- but no chubby kid here!

Smart girl using tummy time to keep her paci in her mouth. Geez- isn't she cute?!!

Saturday was declared 'clean the house (finally) day.' We put Izzy to work, too.

Casey and Iz making the "Casey face."

Happpppy 3rd Anniversary my love!!!! These last three years have been crazy... we've moved, and moved again, grown closer and more in love by the day, grown to laugh at each other when all we really want to do is cry (insert our word here), know what the other is thinking without saying a word... You are my world. Thank you for being such an amazing husband and daddy. Can't wait to see what the next 33 years will bring us! Love you for forever and ever and ever!!
Also, Happpppppy Birthday to my A*MAZING friend Kirstie. You have been there for me through it all and I'm so thankful for your friendship. Thank you for sharing your 21st birthday with us three years ago... you're the bestest. XoXo Love you Lou!!
