The Bolinators Take A Hike!!

Hey Guys! Casey here. Kat is in the process of hot gluing her fingers to a wreath at the moment, so this update is from me!

Sorry for taking another 2 month break from blogging, but we have been super busy between Kat running 3 businesses and the Navy. Izzy is getting soooo huge. She is crawling now, sitting up from her belly and just generally growing up way too fast. But hey, I guess that's the way it goes.

This summer has been so beautiful in Western Washington, so we decided to go over to the Olympic National Park and go hiking. Our first experience was on a hike down to P.J. Lake. We stopped into the ranger station and asked for a hike where we could fish and relatively easy. So she pointed us to P.J. Lake, which ended up being a "strenuous" hike according to our hiking book. It was straight down and straight back up. So needless to say, we took a bit more of a cautious approach to choosing our next hike. It payed off...

The Olympic Peninsula is so gorgeous this time of year. This trail started right on the road and went through lots of beautiful sights.

One of the perks to living in this part of the country is the country itself. Don't see this kind of stuff in Oklahoma.

Izzy as usual loved her backpack and had a blast.

Kat showing off the mountains.

Up close to the top we found some snow!

Iz didn't quite know about the snow, but she was pretty tuckered out after the long hike!

Kat probably will kill me for putting this picture in, but I like it!

And That was our hike that day! We had so much fun, and we are planning on doing much more of them. We have Hawaii pictures to post too, so stay tuned, Hawaii will be up next!
